Crystals are one of my favorite topics! They are so beautiful, they come in an expansive variety of colors, shapes and features and you can pretty much do whatever you like with them. There has been more than one occasion where I have gone into a metaphysical store with no intention whatsoever, and come out with one or more crystals. I cannot help it — they just “call” out to me!
If you are on a spiritual journey, you may have a few crystals in your possession. It seems to be a spiritual awakening rite of passage: awaken, become self aware, go find a crystal. I’m not sure what it is. The thing about crystals is they are actually very powerful pieces of the Earth that can be harnessed and used for a variety of purposes. I have used them to enhance my clairsenses, cleanse my aura, meditate, sleep, protect my energy. The possibilities are really endless.
But I’ve learned through trail-and-error that you can’t just take a crystal and start using it. You CAN take a crystal and turn it into decor, but it may or may not stick around (this is a whole different blog post). You have to actually set an intention with your crystals, cleanse their energy regularly, charge them and activate them! Now, I have just used crystals without doing any of the aforementioned things, but they never work as well.
I often will set an intention for a crystal prior to going into a shop (if I know I want a crystal) and if I have a specific need, I will ask my crystals intuitively which one would like to assist. I view them as my little helpers and in exchange, I cleanse them and make sure then are protected and cared for. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement. These days, I’ve been using them to channel messages for our online spiritual community. I have been using a combination of two crystals for this, amethyst with blue calcite, to be specific.
Crystals carry an energy, almost like a piece of consciousness. Just like when partnering with someone for a project, it helps to know what you need, what the expectations are so that you are both on the same page. This is how you make best use of your crystals – and I have compiled my findings into a beautiful e-book for anyone to use! It’s basically information I wish I would’ve known when I started using them years ago, but in one place you can have for free.
